Our Courses:
Deer Run

Our newest 9 hole course which you can extend to 18 by playing from new tee positions. This course will test you even if you are a low handicap player.

The Deer Run was designed by International golf course architect Bob Sandow to give you a challenging links type course, with large full U.S.G.A. specification, greens and sand tees, excellent drainage, playing surfaces and holding greens.

The greens are built to the same standards as the 2010 Ryder Cup course at Celtic Manor and ooze quality all year round. Plus our computerised automatic watering system keeps the greens, tees and approaches in first class condition.

A feature of this course is the use of sandstone boulders quarried from the site. These have been used to make mini canyons, pyramids and waterfalls to give the course that wow factor, along with the marvellous views over the Herefordshire countryside.

Highlights include:

3rd Hole
The “Deer Run Signature” hole has all the classic features of a World class golf venue. From tee to green you have an exciting feast of spectacular views, a sweeping vista of lush fairway to tempt you to “open your shoulders”. Then a scene of artistic pleasure provided by a large indigenous rock lined pond fronting a 700 square metre green of subtle contours to test your skills.

8th Hole
How pleased you will be to have your 14 clubs. This 490 yard short par 5 gives you rare choices from tee to green and only on your second time round will you really appreciate what they are. The fairway is split at 225 yards by a shallow gully filled with wild flora, followed by 50 yards of semi rough, bordered on one side by a water hazard at 270 yards and a ravine and water hazard on the other side! A lush fairway on this double dog-leg hole opens up to receive your second shot which will be placed ready for a high pitch third shot over a flowing stream to a 600 square metre green complimented by a large lake and waterfall and yet more stunning views.
Badgers
Our original nine hole course designed by International golf course architects Bob Sandow and Jonathan Gaunt. The Badgers is popular with golfers of all levels. with contoured greens built to full U.S.G.A. specification giving excellent playing surfaces kept lush by our automatic watering system.

Carved through woodland and rolling countryside combined with its mixture of pools and streams it gives you a challenge whatever your golfing experience.

Used biannually by the Herefordshire and Shropshire County squads to sharpen their game, it’s a real test of golf not of stamina.
